How To STOP Indigestion and Bloating

The most common ‘symptom’  customers and clients complain about is, without doubt… Indigestion, Acid Reflux and Bloating.  What causes this?  The short answer is the body is unable to break down proteins properly.  A highly acidic system will also cause problems with poor digestion.

If unchecked, more chronic conditions like IBS, Coeliac, Crohns, Diverticulitis and other inflammations of the lower intestinal tract appear.  These can take a lot longer to repair.  If you really want to stop symptoms like indigestion, acid reflux and bloating deteriorating into more chronic dis-ease, then do something about it now!!

I am convinced being HEALTHY really does mean HEAL – THY (and you can guess the last part) … SELF!  We each have the capacity to self-heal once we acknowledge that we also had the capability to make ourselves ill in the first place.  We don’t ‘get’ diabetes, we don’t ‘get’ acid reflux, we don’t ‘get’ bloating… we CREATE it by eating foods that contain too much gluten which is a protein found in most processed foods like bread, cereals, prepared meals that we lift off the supermarket shelf and pop into a microwave or oven to reheat.  Is it any wonder we are a sick planet?  Check out this short video that I recorded for you this morning…

This is what GLUTEN looks like (see pic below) and whilst it is indeed a good protein full of vitamins and minerals, the wheat it is derived from has been hybridised so much over the last 50-60 years that it no longer resembles the original wheat germ we used to call the ‘staff of life’ ie BREAD!

Gluten is often used in imitation meats (such as this mock “duck”) to provide supplemental protein and variety in vegetarian diets.

So, what can we do about this?  Since gluten is in almost everything we buy in a packet, we need to choose very wisely.  Thankfully, there are some excellent gluten-free products available now from artisan bakers and organic health food stores that are increasingly seen in our towns and cities today.  USE THEM!  The more people who start shopping at farmers markets and health food stores, the quicker the bigger supermarket chains will start to change their habits.  After all, if they don’t attract customers, they won’t survive.

The choice is yours and yours alone.  Antacids will bring short term relief but cleaning up the diet and getting the gut working properly is by far the best way to enjoy good health and life in general.
